Casa Raíz

For biologist Kinji Imanishi, the more natural an element appears, the more it recognises its surroundings. In those aseptic magazine houses, decorated for the photo, every object struggles to be the protagonist. In our grandparents’ house, it is rare for a piece of furniture to seem out of place, forced. The rocking chair, the cushion or the stool have been adapting to this adjacent reality for so many years that they have created a camouflage that is in tune with the environment. There is no competition, but coexistence.
